BIO
Jean-Eric Pelet obtained his Habilitation to Supervise Research on February 22, 2024, and holds a PhD in Management (Marketing), an MBA in Information Systems, and a BA (Hons) in Advertising. As an assistant professor in management, he focuses on issues related to consumer behavior when using websites or any other information system (metaverse, e-learning, knowledge management, e-commerce platforms). His research revolves around interface design and its impact on user behavior.
His primary interest lies in variables that enhance navigation to help individuals become more efficient with these systems. Serving as a visiting professor in France and abroad (England, Switzerland, Thailand, Finland, Poland), he teaches e-marketing, ergonomics, usability, UX design, information system security, governance, infographic design (using Photoshop and various design tools), and consumer behavior in design schools, business schools, and universities.
His work has been published in international journals such as the European Journal of Information Systems, Information and Management, International Journal of Wine and Business Research, International Journal of Internet Marketing and Advertising, Review of Managerial Science, Journal of Consumer Behaviour, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, International Journal of Technology and Human Interaction, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Product & Brand Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, among others.
Dr. Pelet serves as a reviewer for journals like the European Journal of Information Systems, Recherche et Applications en Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Information & Management, Systèmes d’Information et Management, and the European Journal of Marketing. He regularly participates in conferences such as AMS, EMAC, ANZMAC, AFM, AIM, AWBR, KMO/LTEC, and ICIS. He has authored two books on u-commerce and e-learning, with another forthcoming on consumer behavior in the digital age.
His current research focuses on digital sobriety, last-mile delivery using blockchain, metaverses, NFTs, m-commerce, social networks, interface design, and usability.
